Accenture Acquires Fibermind: Strengthening Telecom Expertise and Expanding Services in Italy

Accenture acquires Fibermind, an Italian telecommunications technology company

Recently, Accenture has announced its acquisition of Fibermind, an Italian-based company that specializes in telecom consulting and network engineering services. With a team of 400 employees, Fibermind is headquartered in Rovigo and operates throughout the country. The company’s expertise lies in deploying fiber and mobile 5G networks, as well as offering infrastructure engineering services. Their client base includes private sector businesses in telecommunications, utilities, and transportation, as well as relationships with national authorities and municipalities.

Following the acquisition, Fibermind will become part of Accenture Operations, expanding the services offered to include network design, permits management, project management, network acceptance testing, and more. Mauro Macchi, President and CEO of Accenture in Italy, expressed the company’s commitment to investing in strategic acquisitions that support client transformations across key sectors in the country. He highlighted the opportunity to deliver higher quality, innovation, and cost management to clients through the acquisition of Fibermind.

Roberto Pagella, who leads Accenture Operations in Italy, emphasized the importance of strengthening expertise in telecommunications network engineering services through the acquisition of Fibermind. He noted the synergies between the two companies that will allow them to create a center of excellence in engineering services where technology and data enhance human skills and knowledge. This acquisition is part of Accenture’s strategy for inorganic growth following previous deals such as Intellera Consulting and Ammagamma.
