Japan’s airline industry continues to shine, with two major carriers, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL), ranking among the world’s top ten airlines in the latest World Airline Awards by Skytrax. These prestigious awards, often referred to as the Oscars of the aviation industry, are based on data from an annual passenger satisfaction survey conducted between September 2023 and May 2024.
In this year’s rankings, ANA claimed fourth place while Japan Airlines followed closely behind in sixth place. Despite slipping down one spot each from their positions in the previous year’s rankings, both airlines maintained their strong presence in the top ten out of over 350 airlines surveyed.
ANA was also recognized for several other achievements, including having the World’s Best Airport Services, Best Airline Staff in Asia, and Best Cabin Crew in Japan. On the other hand, Japan Airlines received accolades for having the world’s Best Premium Economy Class and Best Premium Economy Class Airline Seat.
