Charlie Adkins, the manager for football analytics and research at the Arizona Cardinals, has been promoted to senior director of football operations with the Detroit Lions. Adkins spent seven years with the Cardinals, starting as a football operations analyst before transitioning to the analytics and research department where he worked for five years. His departure means that the Cardinals will no longer have his expertise in assisting general manager Monti Ossenfort with trade scenarios in the NFL draft.
Adkins’ promotion is a significant career advancement and a testament to his dedication and hard work during his time with the Cardinals. While the team will miss his contributions, it’s exciting to see how his expertise in football analytics and research will contribute to the Lions organization moving forward. Congratulations to Charlie Adkins on his new role, and best wishes for his continued success in the NFL.
