Bend Park and Recreation District Excited to Offer Fall Youth Sports Programs for Children

The Bend Park and Recreation District is excited to offer a range of fall youth sports programs for children in the area. These include soccer, flag football, and tennis. Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up their children now to secure their spot for the upcoming season. With registration deadlines quickly approaching, it is crucial for parents and guardians to be aware of the specific dates and requirements for each program.

The registration deadlines for fall youth sport programs are as follows: Youth soccer (Grades 1st-8th, 2024-25 school year) by July 8th or until full, Kindergarten soccer (2024-25 school year) by July 8th or until full, Flag football (Grades 1st-8th, 2024-25 school year) by July 29th or until full, and Middle school tennis (2024-25 school year) by August 13th or until full. These programs focus on participation and skill-building in a fun, recreational environment. Recreation scholarships are available for those in need.

In addition to these youth sports programs, there are also opportunities for adults to volunteer as coaches. Volunteer coaches play an essential role in supporting program logistics, coaching, and mentoring youth. To be a volunteer coach, individuals must complete an application, background check, take a concussion training course, enjoy working with youth, and be able to create a positive and encouraging recreational environment for all players.
