Bob’s Stores, a local retailer with locations throughout the Northeast, has announced that it will be closing all of its stores and liquidating all remaining inventory. The company has begun “going out of business” sales at its stores, offering discounts ranging from 30 to 70%.
The decision to close all locations was made after efforts to make changes to the company’s structure and operations were unsuccessful in securing the necessary finances. This unfortunate outcome will result in laying off 145 employees in Meriden, Connecticut.
The closures will affect several store locations throughout Connecticut, including Ansonia, Hamden, Manchester, Middletown, Milford, Newington, Simsbury, Southington, Waterbury, and Waterford. Additionally, stores in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey
