Braswell Thomas, a talented safety from South Jersey, announced his commitment to Penn State on Sunday. Thomas is widely considered a three-star safety by 247Sports and On3, but Rivals rates him as a four-star receiver.
At 6′-2″ and 185 pounds, Thomas is an in-demand recruit for Penn State since receiving an offer in March 2023. He visited the campus multiple times for unofficial visits and football camps before making his official visit this past weekend.
Thomas was a top priority for Penn State’s Class of 2025, which already includes commitments from cornerbacks Daryus Dixson, Jahmir Joseph, and Xxavier Thomas, as well as safety Antonio Branch Jr.
