Learning about Earth Science: UDaily’s Focus

Rossi was thrilled about the opportunity to study environmental science and management at the University of Delaware. She expressed her excitement about the relatively new program and hoped to contribute to its growth from the beginning. As she looked forward to pursuing a master of science in this field, Rossi emphasized the importance of collaboration in classes, as opposed to simply being lectured at. She found the environment at the campus to be conducive to making friends, even though she was initially nervous due to the pandemic limiting social interactions on campus.

Rossi noted the friendly atmosphere and ease of making connections that made it hard for her to feel lonely. Despite her desire to eventually become a teacher, Rossi appreciated how the earth science education program had allowed her to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to the general public. She considered it important to share her passion for environmental science with others, as she believed these topics would become increasingly significant in the future. Rossi was determined to inspire others to take an interest in these subjects and stay informed about environmental issues.
