Breaking Barriers: Young Swimmers Steal the Show at US Olympic Trials

One of the standout performances at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials was Gretchen Walsh’s world record-breaking swim in the women’s 100-meter butterfly. At just 21 years old, Walsh shattered the previous record with a time of 55.18 seconds, surpassing Swedish swimmer Sarah Sjöström’s mark from 2016.

Another impressive swimmer at the trials was Aaron Shackell, who at just 19 years old, became the first U.S. swimmer to qualify for the Olympics by winning the men’s 400-meter freestyle.
