The Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has recently launched a new podcast called Health Connect. This podcast aims to bridge the gap between the services provided by BVHS and the communities it serves. Each episode will feature new physicians/providers, highlight technological advancements, simplify the complexities of healthcare, and provide an in-depth look at healthcare offerings in Northwest Ohio.
The first episode of Health Connect was released on April 18 and is approximately 20 minutes long. The podcast can be accessed on major podcasting platforms as well as the BVHS website. Co-hosted by Eric Proctor, chief people officer at BVHS, and Sam Sprunger, a Bluffton podcaster, the series offers a unique blend of perspectives from within and outside the healthcare industry.
In this podcast, Proctor shares his insights into BVHS culture, career opportunities, and brings to light unique stories of patients, associates, and medical staff within the organization. On the other hand, Sprunger provides a layperson’s perspective, bringing curiosity and a desire to help listeners better understand the world of healthcare.
According to Proctor, Health Connect will showcase BVHS as a connected care network that caters to individuals of all ages and needs. He expressed excitement about sharing the many great stories within the organization through this podcast, allowing community members to get to know the extraordinary people and stories that make BVHS special.
