Chaise au Carré: How Two Friends Turned a Passion for Vintage Chairs into a Multi-Million Dollar Business

From Success to Restoration: Manon and Clémence thriving in the restoration of vintage chairs

Clémence Miray and Manon Dessirier-Bourges, two friends in their thirties, met while studying at university in Lille (North) and went on to launch their business, Chaise au Carré, in January 2021. Despite being new to manual work, they have managed to establish a successful business that has exceeded 280,000 euros in turnover after just three years.

Their workshop in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis) is where they restore and sell vintage chairs to large groups and hotels, as well as cater to architects for various projects. Their clients include well-known companies like Sanofi, Caisse des Dépôts, and Axa, as well as hotels such as Jost in Montpellier (Hérault). They have also worked on projects for prestigious agencies like Saguez & Partners in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis).

What sets them apart from others in the industry is their dedication to their craft and their commitment to providing high-quality products. Their success reflects their passion for restoring vintage chairs and creating beautiful pieces for their clients. They continue to expand their business and take on new challenges as they build their brand and reputation.
