Chelsea Abandons Pursuit of Crystal Palace Winger Michael Olise; New Manager Enzo Mareca Moves on to Different Signing Targets

🚨 Chelsea drop out of race to sign Michael Olise

It has been reported that Chelsea have decided to withdraw from the race to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed that the Blues had been granted permission to speak with the 22-year-old by Crystal Palace, but were unable to agree on the financial aspects of a deal. As a result, Chelsea has opted not to pursue the player any further.

Ornstein also stated that Chelsea’s management is focused on establishing a more controlled wage bill compared to previous years. They prefer to reward current players who consistently perform well or sign new players on more modest salaries. Despite this setback, it is likely that new manager Enzo Mareca will still add at least two new attacking players to the squad this summer as Chelsea aims for Champions League qualification next season.

According to reports, Michael Olise has instead agreed to join Bayern Munich, where he is expected to become Vincent Kompany’s first signing for the club. This development indicates that Olise’s future may lie in Germany rather than in the Premier League with Chelsea.
