REWE Group CEO Lionel Souque has praised the digital and technology director of the company, Christoph Eltze, for his commitment to driving forward the digital and technology division. This is crucial for the company’s business models. Souque highlighted Eltze’s role in creating innovative solutions, improving efficiency, and driving group-wide synergies in this strategically important area.
Eltze was appointed to the management board on 1 July 2022 and has been leading the digitalisation and technology efforts of the company ever since. Prior to this, he was responsible for retail in Germany, overseeing digital, customer, analytics, and IT functions.
The supervisory board chair, Erich Stockhausen, emphasized the rapid development of REWE Group in recent years. He attributed it to numerous innovations that have enhanced existing business models and created new formats. Stockhausen highlighted Eltze’s role as a key driver of this development. The board is confident in the successful track record and expertise of the executive team.
As a result of his outstanding performance, Eltze’s contract has been extended until 2029 by REWE Group CEO Lionel Souque.
