The team, comprised of Santiago Arcila, Andrés Hernandez, and Jorge Enriquez, displayed remarkable perseverance and skill throughout the match.
The Colombian team got off to a strong start, shooting well in the first few sets. However, 16-year-old Hernandez began to struggle, shooting low scores and causing the team to fall behind. Canada took a commanding lead after two sets, leaving Colombia with a tough road ahead.
In the third set, former world championship medallist Crispin Duenas felt the pressure and struggled to perform at his best. His lack of competition practice showed and he made a critical mistake, allowing Colombia to make a comeback in the fourth set. Hernandez found his rhythm again, helping the team force a tiebreak with a final score of 58-54.
