Courtland Sutton Returns to Broncos: From OTAs Absence to Minicamp Reunion and New Contract Search

Courtland Sutton, Broncos wide receiver, confirms attendance at mandatory minicamp

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is set to join his teammates at mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, despite skipping voluntary organized team activities in search of a new contract. Sutton expressed his eagerness to get back to playing the game he loves and rejoin his teammates.

During an interview with the DNVR Broncos Podcast, Sutton mentioned how difficult it was for him to be away from the team during OTAs. He had been working out on his own in Florida while negotiations for his new contract continued. Reports indicate that Sutton is seeking a salary increase from his current $13 million base to $15-$16 million per year.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract negotiations, Sutton remains committed to the game and his team. He emphasized his passion for football and his desire to contribute in any way he can. Broncos coach Sean Payton confirmed that he expected Sutton to join the team for minicamp, providing much-needed reinforcement to the receiving corps.

Sutton’s return to the team will be a welcome sight for both coaches and players, as he looks to make up for lost time during the offseason. As the Broncos gear up for a new season, having Sutton back on the field will undoubtedly boost the team’s morale and performance.
