Vamin R, the company that acquired Danone’s Russian business, was registered in 2023 with owners Vamin Tatarstan holding a 99% stake and Ruslan Alisultanov holding a 1% stake. After initially announcing plans to leave the Russian market and sell its assets in October 2022, Danone continued to operate in Russia until the sale was completed.
