Danone, a French company, has sold its Russian business to Vamin R, as reported by Meduza. The sale was finalized after receiving necessary regulatory approvals in Russia. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Vamin R, the company that acquired Danone’s Russian business, was registered in 2023 with owners Vamin Tatarstan holding a 99% stake and Ruslan Alisultanov holding a 1% stake. After initially announcing plans to leave the Russian market and sell its assets in October 2022, Danone continued to operate in Russia until the sale was completed.
