Denver Broncos in Need of Draft-Day Frenzy: Top Prospects for QB, EDGE Rush, WR and CB

Broncos focus on future QB in NFL Draft, willing to stay put

With the 2023 NFL season coming to an end, the Denver Broncos finished with a record of 8-9 and missed out on the playoffs. As the team prepares for the upcoming NFL Draft, they hold several draft picks in different rounds. In the first round, they have the No. 12 pick, in the third round, they have No. 76, and in the fourth round, they have No. 121 (from the Dolphins), among others.

The focus has shifted towards the NFL Draft as the Broncos undergo a full-scale rebuild following the departure of Russell Wilson and star safety Justin Simmons. The team’s top needs include quarterback, EDGE rusher, wide receiver, and cornerback. The QB position is likely to be addressed in the first round, but there are other areas that need attention as well, such as the secondary, EDGE rusher, and offensive line.

As we look towards Day 1 of the draft, players like Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo are top cornerback prospects that could fit into Denver’s roster. On Day 2 of the draft, J.J. McCarthy from Michigan could be a potential quarterback target for Denver in Round 1 or later rounds if he falls through on day one due to other teams prioritizing other positions more highly than QB late in Round One or early Second Round picks. Blake Fisher from Notre Dame and Roman Wilson from Michigan are also good fits for their offensive line or defensive line respectively if those positions become available after day one picks have been made by other teams .

Looking back at their performance in previous drafts, Denver had limited impact with only five picks and none before no.63 overall in their last draft class which received a C grade at that time but failed to meet expectations as many prospects didn’t see much playing time or lived up to their hype during training camp . Marvin Mims was a standout second-round pick while third-round LB Drew Sanders struggled and others didn’t make much impact .

Denver may not be considered an ideal landing spot for fantasy rookie players due to their current roster issues and uncertainty at key positions which can limit young players opportunities to make an impact . However , if you are looking for prospects with favorable situations , it might be worth keeping an eye on some other teams that might have better chances of success for newcomers .
