Diamond Sports Group and Cox Communications Renew Multi-Year Distribution Agreement for Regional Sports Networks

Cox Signs Multi-Year Distribution Contract with Diamond Sports Group

Diamond Sports Group and Cox Communications have reached a multi-year agreement to renew their distribution agreement, allowing the continued carriage of Diamond’s regional sports networks. This means that Cox Contour TV Preferred and Contour TV Ultimate customers will still have access to live MLB, NBA, and NHL games as well as team-related content on Diamond’s RSN channels. Additionally, customers can now stream Diamond’s RSN content by authenticating with their Cox subscription credentials on the Bally Sports app. Those without access to Diamond’s RSN channels can purchase the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) product to access local DTC content for teams with DTC rights.

David Preschlack, CEO of Diamond, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, calling it a significant step forward for the company’s future. He emphasized the importance of the partnership with Cox in providing high-quality local sports broadcasts to dedicated fans. Suzanne Fenwick, Senior Vice President of content acquisition at Cox Communications, also shared her excitement over extending the partnership with Diamond and looked forward to continuing to deliver regional sports content to subscribers.

This renewal with Cox follows a multi-year renewal of its distribution agreement with Charter Communications, Inc., ensuring that Diamond’s RSN channels remain available to viewers and fans can continue enjoying their favorite local sports content.
