Dubai hotels generate 8.8 billion dirhams in revenue over 5 months

Dubai’s hotel room revenues for the first five months of 2024 reached approximately 8.76 billion dirhams, representing a growth of 10.5% compared to the same period last year, according to Al Khaleej analysis. This growth was supported by an increase in the number of nights booked in Dubai hotels, which rose by 4% to 18.34 million nights between January and May this year. The average room revenue was 478 dirhams, with an average room price of 563 dirhams.

Data from the Department of Economy and Tourism revealed that the average return on hotel rooms in Dubai increased by 7% to 478 dirhams, compared to 448 dirhams in the previous year. This positive performance was driven by increased visitor flows from various global markets. By the end of May, Dubai hotels had a total accommodation capacity of about 150.2 thousand hotel rooms, distributed across 822 hotels and hotel apartment facilities.

Dubai hotels have consistently shown growth in revenue per available room, average daily rate, number of nights booked, hotel capacity, and number of establishments. The future outlook for the hotel sector in Dubai remains optimistic, with continued demand for hotel rooms expected due to global events and Dubai’s appeal as a tourist destination. The city’s commitment to enhancing its tourism sector and providing exceptional experiences for visitors has contributed to its position as a prominent global tourist destination.

To ensure visitor comfort and satisfaction, Dubai continues to invest in its tourism infrastructure and prioritize high-quality services. This focus on excellence and innovation sets the stage for sustainable growth in the hotel sector in the future. With continued success and growth in the hospitality industry, Dubai is poised to remain a leading global tourist destination for years to come.
