Madbouly assures Egyptians that prices will decrease by 30%

In a recent press conference, Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has given directives to reduce prices in Egypt with the aim of achieving a 30% decrease in the near future. Dr. Madbouly explained that a comprehensive assessment of prices and their reduction is being conducted in each governorate, resulting in an overall decrease of 27% in public goods. He emphasized that any violations in pricing will be addressed according to the law.

During the same meeting, Dr. Madbouly discussed the state’s care for guests of various nationalities and foreign expatriates residing in Egypt, highlighting the importance of documenting the government’s efforts to support these individuals. He also chaired a weekly government meeting to address various important issues and praised regulatory authorities for their efforts in monitoring markets.

Furthermore, Dr. Madbouly directed relevant authorities to continue monitoring prices and highlighted that goods worth $8 billion have already been released from ports. In addition, he emphasized that any deviations from agreements would be met with firm action.

The meeting also focused on the government’s services for millions of guests and refugees in Egypt, highlighting the need to quantify and document the state’s contributions in caring for these individuals.
