On Monday (June 17), pop superstar Katy Perry announced that the first single from her upcoming sixth album, “Woman’s World,” will be released on July 11. The announcement was accompanied by a brief snippet of the empowering pop song and eye-catching single art, shot by photographer Jack Bridgland.
The photo features Perry in a white bikini with metallic pegasus legs and her arms tucked into her voluminous black hair. The song is set to drop at 7 p.m. ET on July 11, with the official music video premiering the following day.
Perry also shared a 15-second preview of the song on Monday morning, showing her posing in the outfit from the single cover accompanied by a chunky necklace while singing lyrics like, “Sexy, confident, so intelligent/ She is heaven-sent, so soft, so strong.”
Back in April, Perry mentioned to Access Hollywood that her upcoming album would be one of her happiest to date. She wanted to make music from a place of feeling happy, whole, and full of love. Perry expressed that this album would be bright, joyful, fun, playful, celebratory, and a real party.
