ESET World 2023: Driving Channel Margins in Cybersecurity Through Threat Intelligence, MDR, and AI-Based Solutions

Cyber Teams and Threat Actors: The Impact of Shrinking Teams and AI on End-Users

ESET World, a cybersecurity summit held in Bratislava this week, brought together channel partners to discuss various topics related to the industry and the vendor’s recent announcements. The focus was on improving margins and staying up-to-date with emerging trends. Key themes at the summit included threat intelligence, Managed Detection and Response (MDR), deepfakes, AI-generated ransomware, and ESET’s AI advisor tool.

Throughout the three-day event, technical speakers from ESET emphasized the importance of MDR as a frontline defense against cybercrime. They also highlighted the growing threat of deepfakes, state and non-state threat actors, and the increasing use of AI by cybercriminals to enhance ransomware attacks. The vendor is looking to its channel partners to bring these developments to market, particularly as they transition towards subscription or services-based models.

One of the main focuses of the summit was cyber insurance and its role in driving organizations to reassess their current cybersecurity posture and invest in more comprehensive security solutions. The aim is to better protect against evolving cyber threats and ensure business continuity.

CRN spoke with two of ESET’s UK partners, Millgate and Grey Matter, to gather their insights on the discussions and announcements made at the event. Their perspectives shed light on how channel partners are responding to industry trends and the vendor’s strategies. Stay tuned for more about their feedback and perspectives.
