Experience the Fusion of Culture and Technology at TTXC: Taiwan’s Hottest Tech-Culture Expo

The 2024 Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo (TTXC) is a must-attend event for anyone interested in the intersection of culture and technology. Scheduled to take place in October at the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung, this exciting expo will showcase the latest advancements in gaming and entertainment, virtual idols, and technological art.

Visitors are encouraged to “press play” and immerse themselves in an array of performances, film, music, technology, and industry at the expo. The event will feature some of the most renowned festivals in Taiwan, including the Kaohsiung Film Festival and Takao Rock Music Festival. XR Dreamland, an international short film competition and an XR film competition, will highlight the fusion of artificial intelligence and XR technologies by cultural workers in Taiwan.

Culture Minister Li Yuan emphasized the importance of Taiwan’s role in the semiconductor supply chain and how technology is merging with artistic expressions. Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai highlighted the significance of holding the expo in her city, showcasing high-tech investments and cultural events like XR Dreamland, Asia’s largest XR film festival.

XR technologies encompass AR, VR, and MR, aiming to merge physical and virtual interactions. The TTXC is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Kaohsiung City Government with support from various government agencies, local governments, and private enterprises. Takao Rock Music Festival will close out the expo on October 11-13 featuring over 60 singers and bands from Taiwan and around the world. Early bird tickets for the music festival will be available on Opentix starting at noon on July 8.
