Kansas City’s Science City has recently unveiled its new interactive exhibit, “Eye Spy,” to great fanfare. This 2,000 square foot exhibit offers immersive activities for kids and families to enjoy. The space has replaced the Mister E Hotel and features custom hand-painted and spray-painted murals with hidden illusions, as well as 15 illusive photo ops and hands-on activities.
One of the standout features of the exhibit is the “Travelvator,” a never-before-seen video technology that takes visitors on a virtual tour around the outside of the station. The rooms in the exhibit are based on five categories: color, nature, art, technology, and perspective. In the perspective room, visitors can explore how illusions can shift their perspectives on the world around them with the help of vision and how our brains understand and contextualize our surroundings.
Admission to Eye Spy is $16.50 for adults, with free entry for kids under 12 months old and Union Station members.
