First Lady Jill Biden Highlights Importance of Women’s Health Research at University of Colorado Anschutz Campus

First lady Jill Biden made a visit to the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research at the University of Colorado Anschutz campus in Aurora on Saturday. During her time there, she praised the university for its significant advances in women-focused research, emphasizing the importance of studying women’s health.

Biden spoke with doctors about their efforts to improve healthcare for women in Colorado, highlighting that women’s health research remains understudied compared to men’s health. Dr. Judith Regensteiner, director of the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research, brought attention to the challenges women face seeking healthcare in a medical world largely designed for men.
