In the early morning hours of May 29, 2024, firefighters were called to a blaze at a fulfillment center for Fastenal in Upper Macungie Township. The fire was reported at about 5:45 a.m. after 911 dispatch received a call about a commercial building fire.
As of around 7 a.m., crews were still on the scene battling the flames. Photos posted on social media showed smoke billowing from the building. Fastenal is a supply chain solutions company and wholesale distributor, according to its website. The location of the fire is a fulfillment center for the company.
Route 100 in the area of the fire was closed according to PennDOT’s traffic website, 511pa.com. This is a developing story, so check back for updates.
