Flying Across the Atlantic on a Budget: A Review of Norse Atlantic Airways

The Experience of Taking a Red-Eye Flight on Budget Norse Atlantic Airways

For my most recent trip, I decided to try out a new budget airline called Norse Atlantic Airways. I had never heard of the airline before, but I opted for an eight-hour red-eye flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to destinations in Germany, Norway, the UK, France, and Italy.

Norse Atlantic Airways offers nonstop flights from the US to Europe at affordable prices. The most affordable option for my trip was an economy light ticket that included a seat and space for a personal item for a total of $88. Additionally, I paid $75 to select a window seat ahead of time and a $20 fee for airport check-in, bringing my total cost to $183.

As someone who typically appreciates domestic red-eye flights for giving me an extra day at my destination, I was surprised at how exhausting the long overnight flight felt. It made me question if the time saved was worth the fatigue. Despite this, I am open to trying out Norse Atlantic Airways again in the future if they offer similar affordable options with good amenities and comfort.
