Foot Sprain Adds Another Layer of Uncertainty for Cowboys as Training Camp Approaches

Dak Prescott reported to be in walking boot as a result of foot sprain

As the Cowboys prepare for training camp later this month, there are a number of things that fans will be keeping a close eye on beyond Dak Prescott’s contract situation. A photo of Prescott walking with a boot on his right foot in Cabo San Lucas was shared on social media, causing concern among fans. However, it was later reported that Prescott is wearing the boot due to a foot sprain and not considered serious.

The exact time when Prescott suffered the injury remains unclear, but it has added another layer of uncertainty heading into training camp. Despite facing injuries in the past, including a fractured right ankle in 2020 and missing a game in 2021 due to a calf injury, Prescott has always returned to play at a high level. The Cowboys’ first practice in Oxnard, California is set for July 25th and Prescott’s status will definitely be something to keep an eye on.

Cowboys fans can take comfort in the fact that Prescott has overcome injuries before and played well. With this foot sprain, hopefully it will not linger and he will be able to fully participate in training camp and get ready for the upcoming season. The Cowboys will need Prescott at his best if they hope to compete for a championship in 2023.
