Michael Duff, the former manager of Huddersfield Town, has been reunited with Herbie Kane, a former England youth international, after signing him to a three-year deal. The 25-year-old midfielder joins the club on a free transfer after leaving Barnsley at the end of his contract.
During his time at Barnsley, Kane played under Duff and made 43 League One appearances last season, scoring nine goals. Expressing his excitement about joining Huddersfield, Kane said, “I couldn’t be happier to be joining Huddersfield Town at such an exciting time.”
Kane added that his job now is to work really hard alongside his new teammates in pre-season and do whatever he can once the season starts to ensure they get off to a great start and keep that momentum up across what is always a tough division.
