From CFL to NFL: Chase Claypool’s Journey to Establish Himself as a Top Receiver

NBC Sports reports on Chase Claypool’s visit to the Seahawks

The Saskatchewan Roughriders recently secured Chase Claypool on their exclusive negotiating list, with the expectation that the CFL could be his only avenue to continue playing football. However, despite this, Claypool is aiming for another chance in the NFL and recently visited the Seahawks in pursuit of this goal.

Seattle currently boasts a strong receiving corp including DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Laviska Shenault as their top four receivers. Despite facing some challenges in the NFL, including playing for three different teams in just four seasons, Claypool remains determined to establish himself as a valuable player in the league.

In his rookie season with the Steelers, Claypool showed great promise with 873 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns. However, after becoming a free agent last month, his time with the Dolphins was limited to just four catches for 26 yards in nine games last season. Despite these setbacks, Claypool is still aiming for another chance in the NFL and is hoping that Seattle will give him that opportunity.
