From Hospital to Screen: Jamie Foxx Opens Up About His Health Scare and Return to Acting

Jamie Foxx reveals more about health scare that kept him out of action for 20 days

On March 3, 2024, Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx attended the AAFCA Special Achievement Awards luncheon in Los Angeles. However, his recent health scare has left him guarded and he has been shying away from the public eye. In April 2023, while filming the Netflix film “Back in Action” in Atlanta, Foxx was hospitalized for 20 days after suffering a bad headache on April 11th. He doesn’t remember anything after asking for an Advil and his sister and daughter took him to the doctor. Foxx shared more details about what happened during his hospitalization in a video posted on TikTok where he mentioned that something was “going on up there” in his head.

Foxx has been very guarded about his private life and has stayed away from the limelight following the incident. Previously, he had mentioned that he wanted to maintain a positive image for the public, avoiding any images of him in a vulnerable state. However, in July 2023, Foxx talked more about his experience on Instagram and expressed his gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their support. He further updated his followers in August 2023, mentioning that he was starting to feel like himself again after a long and unexpected dark journey.

Despite everything that happened, “Back in Action” is currently still in post-production according to IMDB and fans are eagerly waiting to see Foxx back on screen once again.
