GAF Energy is revolutionizing the solar industry by becoming the world’s largest producer of solar roofing. In January 2022, the company launched the Timberline Solar Energy Shingle, a nailable shingle roofing that replaces traditional solar panels or heavy tiles. These shingles are designed to blend seamlessly into a home’s aesthetic and can withstand winds of up to 130 miles per hour.
To meet the growing demand for their solar shingles, GAF Energy constructed a 450,000-square-foot factory in Georgetown, Texas. The factory is expected to create over 240 jobs and increase the company’s total production of solar shingles to 300 megawatts annually. This expansion solidifies GAF Energy’s position as the largest producer of solar roofing in the world.
GAF Energy offers cost-effective solar solutions, with the Timberline Solar shingle priced at about half the cost of a Tesla solar roof.
