Gear Up Program Bridges Equipment Gap for Pueblo West Children, Invites Community to Donate and Volunteer

Free sports equipment program offers supplies for kids in Pueblo West

Christ Church Pueblo West in Pueblo West is proud to offer the Gear Up program, which provides free sports equipment for children. The program, which runs on Mondays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., offers a range of items including football pads, cleats, helmets, and more.

Pastor Bryan Kelsen shared that seeing a child leave with a big smile after receiving new equipment warms his heart. He explained that many children in the community may not have access to the necessary gear to participate in sports, and this program aims to help bridge that gap.

Those interested in donating to the program can visit their Facebook page and contribute any sports equipment they may have lying around their house or garage. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly towards helping local children participate in sports safely and comfortably.
