Good Samaritan Health Clinic Hosts Health Expo and Celebrates Anniversary with Plans for Expanded Facility

Health Expo Hosted by Good Samaritan Health Clinic

The Good Samaritan Health Clinic in Cullman, Alabama, hosted a health expo on June 28 that featured staff from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System providing clinic patients with valuable information on nutrition, diabetes management, and simple home fitness routines.

During the expo, Della Bramley demonstrated proper food portions and meal sizes while guests sampled healthy snacks. Shanetria Orr led guests through fun home exercises as Meaghanne Thompson shared insights about living with diabetes. Patients also had the chance to take home door prizes such as resistance band sets for exercise and bags of fresh produce grown by Master Gardener Brad Mitchell through the Grow More Give More program.

Jolanda Hutson, the executive director of the clinic, expressed plans to hold more events like this one in the future to promote wellness and prevention among patients and the community. As the clinic approaches its 20th anniversary, celebrations are underway, including Open House events scheduled for August where members of the community can learn more about the clinic’s services, impact, and future plans.

Moving forward into the future, Good Samaritan Health Clinic is planning to construct a new expanded facility on Veterans Drive in 2025. The new location will have a larger waiting room to accommodate after-hours patient education classes and events.
