Google Introduces Enhanced ‘Find My Device’ Feature for Android Devices.

Google debuts upgraded ‘Find My Device’ with offline tracking and third-party brand support

In a major update, Google has unveiled its new ‘Find My Device’ feature that enhances the service’s capabilities. The latest version of this service allows users to locate devices and accessories offline, track third-party Bluetooth items, and share accessories with friends and family. Developed for Android devices, this feature aims to help users find their lost or stolen devices and remotely delete all data on them.

Starting in May, the service will become compatible with third-party tracking accessories from brands like Chipolo and Pebblebee. These accessories are designed to work with the Google service, enabling users to track Bluetooth devices they have attached to their belongings. The ‘Find Nearby’ button shows the exact location of the device, making it easier for users to find their misplaced items.

Google has also introduced a new feature that allows people to share their accessories with friends and family using ‘Find My Device’. This enables loved ones to monitor the location of items, making it easier for them to keep track of important belongings.

The updated version of ‘Find My Device’ is secure and private by design. It is currently available in the United States and Canada, making it accessible to millions of users worldwide.
