Google has announced the launch of a new scholarship program in Argentina that provides 10,000 educational scholarships for courses on Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals and associated Career Certificates. The goal is to enhance digital skills and employability in the country by providing certifications in high-demand competencies such as AI, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, and more.
Google aims to democratize access to technology in Argentina through these scholarships. The courses are designed and taught by Google AI specialists and are available on Coursera, an online learning platform. Participants can complete the courses at their own pace, making them accessible to individuals with other commitments. At the end of the programs, participants receive a Google certificate validating the knowledge they have acquired.
This scholarship program has been running for three years and is being delivered in collaboration with Fundación Compromiso, along with other organizations such as Fundación Pescar, Junior Achievement, Comunidad IT, and Civic House. The goal is to reach diverse communities in Argentina and bridge the digital skills gap by providing certifications in STEM skills.
The 10,000 scholarships being offered this year are in addition to the 12,000 already delivered in the country. This initiative aims to contribute to economic growth and create new opportunities in emerging markets through the promotion of digital skills and training.
