Hamas Leader Ismail Haniye’s Unwavering Demands for Justice and Peace in Gaza

Haniye remains steadfast in Hamas stance despite death of three sons in Israeli attack

Hamas leader Ismail Haniye has stated that the death of his three children in a bombing by the Israeli Army will not deter the group from continuing negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza. He emphasized that Hamas will remain steadfast in its demands, based on the needs of the Palestinian people and their struggle for dignity.

Haniye revealed that his children were visiting relatives during Eid al Fitr when they were attacked, and he sees their deaths as part of a larger historical struggle for justice. Another Hamas official accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of using underhanded tactics to prevent a ceasefire agreement, while the Israeli Army claimed responsibility for the bombing, stating that they targeted Hamas military agents.

The conflict between Israel and Gaza has resulted in thousands of deaths, with Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem also facing violence from Israeli security forces and settlers. Despite this tragic loss, Hamas remains committed to their demands for justice and a ceasefire in the region.

Haniye’s granddaughter also died in a previous bombing, making this attack even more personal for him. He stated that Israel’s actions are proof of their ongoing struggle against oppression and occupation.

“We cannot allow such atrocities to continue,” Haniye said. “Our fight is not just about our own survival, but about the dignity of our people and our nation.”

Despite ongoing tensions between Israel and Gaza, Haniye remains hopeful that negotiations will lead to an end to violence and a lasting peace agreement.

“We will continue to negotiate based on the demands of our people and our struggle,” he said. “But we will never compromise on our principles or our right to self-determination.”
