Amit Panghal, the Commonwealth Games champion, also had a great day in Bangkok, securing a 4-1 win over Mexico’s Mauricio Ruiz in the round of 32. His performance contributed to the overall success of the Indian team at the tournament.

Sanjeet, who received a bye in the round of 64, aims to secure an Olympic quota by reaching the semi-finals, as all four semi-finalists in his division will earn quotas. India has already secured three Olympic boxing quotas through previous competitions.
