Israeli Troops Uncover Weapons, Intelligence Documents at Gaza School Raids; 38 Killed in 72 Hours as Battle Rages

Tel Aviv Continues Offensive in Shujaiya Neighborhood, Gaza City – Rafah

Over the weekend, Israeli troops raided a UN school in Shujaiya that was being used as a hiding place for Hamas militiamen, where they found weapons, grenades, and valuable intelligence documents. The Army has accused the Islamists of embedding themselves in civil structures for terrorist purposes.

In Rafah at the southern end of the Gaza Strip, Israeli troops continued their offensive operations on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of at least seven people. Meanwhile, in Shujaiya, Israeli troops have been operating since last Thursday and have killed dozens of alleged combatants through hand-to-hand combat and aerial fire.

The total casualties from the beginning of the war in Gaza stand at 37,877 dead and 86,969 wounded, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza controlled by Hamas. It is estimated that around 10,000 bodies are still trapped under the rubble. The ongoing conflict has left Gaza devastated, with residential buildings, schools, and hospitals reduced to rubble.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces are conducting intelligence-based operational activities in Rafah and Shujaiya as part of their ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism from Gaza. He added that dozens of terrorists have been eliminated every day during this operation. However, Palestinian medical sources have reported difficulties accessing Shujaiya due to continuous shooting by Israeli troops.
