Joey Chestnut, the world’s greatest eater, will be making a special appearance at Food City on Malone Creek Drive in northwest Knoxville from 4-5 p.m. Along with Joey, Miss Food City, Addison Smith, will also be present at the event.
Joey Chestnut holds more competitive eating records than any other athlete in history. Some of his notable achievements include eating 76 Nathan’s hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes, 141 hard-boiled eggs in 8 minutes, 55 glazed donuts in 8 minutes, 45 pulled pork sandwiches in 10 minutes, 53 Taco Bell softshell beef tacos in 10 minutes, 103 Krystal hamburgers in 8 minutes and 121 Twinkies in just six minutes.
Please note that this event is strictly a meet and greet with the opportunity for a photo op. Competitive eating will not be part of the event. Betsi James, the special events manager for Food City’s Knoxville and Chattanooga divisions, is organizing this exciting event.
