Journey into the Jungle for a Thrilling STEM Adventure: Join Science Heroes at Cuba Circulating Library on July 10!

Science Heroes to Speak at Cuba Library on July 10th

Join us on a wild adventure at Cuba Circulating Library! On Wednesday, July 10 at 1:00 pm, Science Heroes are inviting you to explore the jungle in search of treasure. During the performance, you’ll be part of an interactive STEM learning experience that will bring the story to life.

Get ready for some thrilling experiments that involve chemical reactions, air pressure, physical explosions and more! This program is open to all ages and there’s no need to register. But don’t miss out on the fun for teens aged 12-18. They’ll have the chance to try out exciting experiments using leaf blowers, confetti cannons, liquid foam, nail polish remover and more. Space is limited for this workshop so registration is required. To sign up, contact the Cuba Library at (585)968-1668 or email cuba@stls.org.

For those interested in mushrooms, join Sam Warren on a guided ID hike at Bush Hill State Forest on Saturday, July 13 at 3 pm. This foray will focus on expanding eco-literacy through mushroom identification and understanding their roles in ecosystems. Both guides have their NY Wild Mushroom Safety Certifications and over 25 years of combined foraging experience. The hike is free but space is limited and registration is required. For more information contact the Cuba Library at (585)968-1668 or email cuba@stls.org. This program is funded in memory of Mike Doyle by Michael & Marjanne Kunz.
