Katy Perry’s Upcoming Sixth Album: The Hype, the Anticipation, and the Release of ‘Woman’s World’

Katy Perry Reveals Upcoming Single ‘Woman’s World,’ Dropping on July 11th

Katy Perry recently hosted private listening sessions for her upcoming sixth album. The first single from the project, titled “Woman’s World,” will be released next month. The single will be dropped on July 11 at 7 p.m. ET, with the official video premiering the following day. The single cover art, shot by Jack Bridgland, features Perry in metallic armor-like pants and a bikini top.

Despite producing singles like “Daisies” and the title track, it was her weakest-performing album in years, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Details about Perry’s sixth album are scarce, as it does not yet have a title or release date. It has been nearly four years since Perry released “Smile” in August 2020.

In the meantime, Perry had a Las Vegas residency called Play from 2021 to 2023, with the final performance teasing her upcoming era. She has also been a judge on “American Idol” for seven seasons, announcing in February that the 22nd season would be her last. Perry finished her time on the show in May and sold her music catalog for $255 million to Litmus Music in September of that year. This Carlyle-backed company also acquired Keith Urban’s master recordings during this time period.
