“April School Break Science and Art Program” presented by iBerkshires.com

Greenagers and Flying Cloud Institute have joined forces to offer a unique science and art exploration program for children aged 7 to 13 years during the April school break. The program will take place from April 15-18, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at the April Hill Education and Conservation Center in South Egremont, with early drop-off at 8:30 am.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities including science investigations, art projects, engineering challenges, and nature explorations. Past programs have included activities such as making phosphorescent polymers, learning about sound with oscilloscopes, designing structures with sticks and marshmallows, and exploring TinkerCad design software and 3D printers. They have also learned about sheep, observed wool under microscopes, and created felted wool projects, concluding with outdoor activities like scavenger hunts.

The April vacation week program will once again be held at the April Hill Education and Conservation Center, which offers nature trails, gardens, orchards, and pasture lands, including access to the nearby Appalachian Trail. Maria Rundle, the Executive Director of Flying Cloud Institute, expressed excitement about partnering with Greenagers on this adventure and looks forward to engaging young participants with creativity.

The cost of the program is $220 for the four-day session
