Liga MX Acquires Minnesota United Midfielder Emanuel Reynoso as Designated Player and International Roster Spot Opens up

Minnesota United Transfers Emanuel Reynoso to Club Tijuana

Club Tijuana of LIGA MX has officially acquired Minnesota United FC midfielder Emanuel Reynoso after three-plus seasons with the team. The talented midfielder played just 31 minutes for the Loons this season due to a knee injury and visa travel issues, resulting in multiple absences over the past two years.

Reynoso’s departure from Minnesota United has opened up a designated player spot and an international roster spot for the club, as well as relieving the team of his $2 million salary for this season. Despite his limited playing time this season, Reynoso was a crucial player for Minnesota United, scoring 24 goals and providing 37 assists in 95 appearances. He was a two-time MLS All-Star and played an important role in helping the team reach the 2020 Western Conference Finals.

The club thanked Reynoso for his contributions on the field and wished him all the best in his future endeavors. Reynoso’s departure marks the end of his time with Minnesota United, but it opens up new opportunities for both clubs as they look ahead to their next seasons.
