In Mansfield, Ohio, the Legacy Academy of Excellence and NAMI Richland County are coming together to present the second annual Black Mental Health & Wellness Symposium. The symposium aims to celebrate the importance of mental health and wellness in the African American community. It will address the challenges faced by the Black community regarding mental health and provide support for those affected. Additionally, it will focus on supporting loved ones with mental illness and breaking the cycle of the school-to-prison pipeline.
This free event is made possible through partnerships with Mansfield UMADAOP, North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC), Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, and Richland County Children Services (RCCS).
