Monta Vista High School Celebrates First Science Olympiad USA Foundation Win, While Kennedy Middle School Takes Home Second Consecutive Victory at 40th Annual Tournament

Monta Vista High School and Kennedy Middle School win top honors at science tournament – The Mercury News

The Science Olympiad USA Foundation recently awarded Ishanvi Kommula, a high school senior from Monta Vista, with a $10,000 Founders’ Scholarship. This was the first time that Monta Vista’s team has won the competition. Kennedy Middle School’s team, on the other hand, celebrated their second consecutive victory at the 40th annual Science Olympiad National Tournament held at Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The competition featured 120 middle school and high school teams that had advanced from state-level competitions. Students participated in hands-on and lab events covering various topics such as engineering, physics, epidemiology, astronomy, chemistry, robotics, and coding. The event was challenging yet rewarding for all participants.
