Moroccan and Catalan Companies: A Match Made in Business Heaven

An Economic Alliance to Confront the Challenges Ahead

In June 4-6, the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES) is hosting an event titled ‘Moroccan and Catalan companies: an alliance to face the economic and industrial challenges of the future’. The purpose of this event is to encourage investment and business partnerships between companies in Morocco and Catalonia.

The delegation will begin their visit on June 4th in Casablanca, where they will have a meeting with the CGEM and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Morocco-Casablanca. On the morning of June 5th, the Moroccan Minister of Investment will meet with the delegation, followed by a meeting with the Caisse de Dépot et de Gestion in the afternoon. The visit will conclude in Tangier with a business meeting with employers in northern Morocco and member companies of CEMAES and CGEM Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.

The primary goal of this visit to these three regions with significant economic importance is to promote investment and business partnerships between Moroccan and Catalan companies. CEMAES was established through a collaboration agreement signed in 2013, which brought together representatives from both countries’ government officials as well as business leaders. The main objectives of CEMAES are to foster bilateral business collaborations, strengthen trade relations, and promote reciprocal investments. This event aims to achieve these goals by bringing together leading businesses from both countries to discuss potential partnerships that could benefit both economies in the long run.
