Saturday schedule for NASCAR Cup and Xfinity races at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity teams are set to hit the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday. The Xfinity series will be returning to its regular schedule after a week off, while the Cup teams will be practicing and qualifying for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, one of NASCAR’s premier races.

Justin Allgaier, driving for JR Motorsports, is the defending winner of the Xfinity race at Charlotte. He is one of three drivers in the lineup with past wins at the 1.5-mile track, alongside Kyle Busch and Ty Gibbs. Dean Thompson will be making his series debut with Sam Hunt Racing, while Chase Elliott will be back in Xfinity racing for Hendrick Motorsports.

The NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is a significant race weekend for NASCAR Cup teams and drivers. This weekend marks the return of the top three series to the sport’s home track.
