NBC Sports sees record-breaking viewership for second round of 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort & C.C.

The second round of the 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort & C.C. was a success for NBC Sports, with a Total Audience Delivery of 2.38 million viewers during the broadcast window from 1-7 p.m. ET. This was an 18% increase compared to 2023 and a 54% increase compared to 2022.

This year’s U.S. Open second round also marked NBC Sports’ most-watched early rounds of an east coast U.S. Open since 2014, with a Total Audience Delivery of 1.51 million viewers, an 11% increase compared to 2022. Peacock exclusively saw a 40% increase in viewership compared to last year’s comparable window, making it the most-streamed U.S. Open early rounds on record.

The first round coverage on Thursday also saw viewership gains and records on USA Network and Peacock
