New Addition to Houston Texans Roster: 1,000-Yard Receiver Stefan Diggs Brings Super Bowl Success to NFL’s Southern Capital

Stefon Diggs clears physical exam and officially becomes a member of the Texans

The Houston Texans have officially announced the arrival of 1,000-yard receiver Stefan Diggs to their roster. The team added him to their list of recent acquisitions which also includes running back Joe Mixon and edge rusher Danielle Hunter. This offseason marks the first time in NFL history that a team has added a 1,000-yard receiver, a 1,000-yard running back, and a 10-plus sack edge rusher in the same offseason.

Diggs, who is 30 years old, will be joining an already impressive receiving corps in Houston that includes Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Noah Brown. Additionally, the Texans re-signed tight end Dalton Schultz this offseason. Diggs has earned Pro Bowl honors in each of the past four seasons with the Bills, averaging 6.7 catches and 87.4 yards in 66 games. He has an impressive record of six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

The Texans pursued Diggs after missing out on a deal for Keenan Allen, who ultimately signed with the Bears instead. Despite offering similar compensation to the Bears for Allen, Houston was unable to secure the deal, leading them to target Diggs as a valuable addition to their team. With his talent and experience on board, Diggs will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to both the Texans offense and defense as they look forward to another successful season in NFL football.
