New Executive Director Set to Elevate Evansville Museum’s Reputation as a Leading Cultural Destination

Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science Welcomes New Leader – Inside INdiana Business

Jennifer Evans has been appointed as the new executive director of the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science. She brings with her a wealth of experience in not-for-profit management, development, fundraising, and public service administration. In her previous roles at Mesker Park Zoo and WNIN Tri-State Public Media, she honed her skills and established herself as a local leader with strong community connections and business acumen.

The museum’s search committee, Board of Trustees, and staff are excited to welcome Evans to the organization. They believe that her leadership qualities and expertise will enable the museum to achieve new heights as a destination for arts, history, and science in the region. As she takes on her new role, Evans will succeed Mary McNamee Bower, who will transition to the role of executive director emerita.

Adam Borgman, president of the museum’s Board of Trustees, emphasized the importance of finding a new leader who could build upon Bower’s successes and foundation. The board identified Evans as a local leader with strong community connections and leadership qualities to further the museum’s mission. Evans will officially assume her position as executive director on July 22nd.
